The new generation of lightweight materials used in its manufacture, such as high-performance carbon fibre and thermoplastic polymers with UV protection, ensure that its weight is barely more than a third of that of conventional steel cylinders It also has an aluminium alloy liner internally heat-treated to give it high flexibility.  

The cylinders produced by Carbotainer meet the most demanding quality and safety standards. They are also certified by AENOR in accordance with the European EN12245 standard, Directive 2035/10/EU (TPED) and the international ISO 11119-2 standard.
