The GPSMAP 8417 large-format multi-functional display is equipped with a 17-inch touch screen with Full HD resolution. The display with anti-reflective layer is very readable even in full sun and is equipped with an automatic dimmer function that allows you to use the display in low light conditions and at night. The new all-glass appearance provides direct access to an elegant and efficient network-connected control panel. The IPS LCD display - the first in the industry in this class - ensures uniform and accurate color reproduction from every angle. It is also equipped with a USB output enabling the display to be used as a touch screen by devices with the Windows® and Mac® operating systems. Install multiple displays using the low profile flush mount or flat mount for an elegant glass control panel. Quick access to the information you need with one touch makes it easy to ride a boat.

Full system integration

The GPSMAP 8417 integrates various sonar technologies as well as autopilot, connectivity, applications, engine data and multimedia. User data can be automatically synchronized with all 8400 series plotters connected to the network on multiple control panels - everything you need is on hand on one screen. The fully digital switching system uses CZone technology. It allows you to start the boat, turn on pumps and control lights - and even underwater lights when you are away from the dock. It also provides easy access to almost all control elements from the level of the control panel, programmed remote key or MasterVolt CZone application for the tablet.

New highly efficient processor

Learn the smoothness of fastest map drawing and better image processing. You can add up to four IP cameras and use them simultaneously in the Garmin Helm ™ application. In addition, all added sensors, such as radar, sonar, multimedia and others, will benefit from higher performance, which will facilitate the use of devices in the network installed on the boat.

Customizable layouts and SmartMode ™ function

To facilitate boating, the GPSMAP 8417 has preconfigured sonar, radar, camera, multimedia and digital switching settings that can be independent or coupled with SmartMode. Thanks to the SmartMode function, you can quickly switch the contents of all the screens at the helm according to pre-configured settings, e.g. fishing, docking, recreational swimming at night, etc. One-touch access allows you to simultaneously switch all monitors from one mode to another without having to manually switch individual monitors . Fully customizable layouts, data and indicators allow you to view the information you need wherever tracking is most convenient for you.

Garmin Marine Network and NMEA 2000® support

Full network compatibility means that the device increases the capabilities of your boat. The GPSMAP 8417 device supports radar, autopilot, instruments, multiple screens, FUSION-Link ™ entertainment system, sensors, remote sonar modules, digital switching, weather information, thermal cameras, GRID ™ knob and many other devices. It is also compatible with the FLIR camera.

Simultaneous display of multiple sonar sources

Professional GSD ™ 26 CHIRP sonar, advanced GSD 24 sonar, GCV ™ 10 or GSD 25 ClearVü and SideVü scanning sonar, as well as Garmin Panoptix ™ wide field sonar - all can coexist within the same system. You can even display multiple sonar images simultaneously on a single monitor or on multiple monitors as part of multi-display systems.

Add an open antenna radar or dome radar

You can add your chosen Garmin marine radar, such as the powerful xHD2 open radar, GMR Fantom ™ open radar with MotionScope ™ technology, or xHD dome radar that combines ease of use with advanced features.

Sharing via the network

The GPSMAP 8417 device allows you to share functions such as radar, complementary maps and user data with other compatible GPSMAP devices
