This high-class handheld device floats on water and is equipped with a 3-inch color display that is easy to read in direct sunlight. In addition, wireless connectivity makes it a virtual extension of the onboard maritime system, which provides greater orientation and convenience.

Connect with your boat

Synchronize GPSMAP® 86s with compatible Garmin plotters and navigation instruments, and your boat's real-time data will be displayed directly on your handheld device. In addition, the device works as a remote control that allows convenient operation of the Garmin autopilot and selected FUSION marine products. During the cruise, an adjustable GPS filter levels the speed and course on the waves for more accurate tracking.

Optional BlueChart g3 maps

The GPSMAP® 86s device comes with a preloaded basemap around the world. It also lets you add BlueChart g3 coastal maps, providing industry-leading coverage, transparency and detail with integrated Garmin and Navionics® data. Detailed isobaths with an accuracy of 0.3 m ensure a more precise mapping of the bottom structure, improving the accuracy of fishing maps and the detail of marsh plans, channels and ports.

Stay in touch

Smart notifications directly on the GPSMAP® 86s handheld device when connected to a compatible smartphone. You can also sync your GPSMAP® 86s device with Garmin Explore ™ to manage your favorite routes as well as waypoints and tracks in the cloud. GPSMAP® 86s provides Wi-Fi® connectivity, ANT +® technology and Bluetooth® wireless technology, which facilitates wireless updates and connections. During long journeys, its built-in lithium-ion battery provides up to 40 hours of operation in 10-minute tracking mode1.
