Take over the rudders on board
Advanced remote control autopilot and remote route point control functions allow you to maintain control of your boat even if you are not standing at the helm. With the quatix 5 watch, you gain real access to the GHC ™ 20 autopilot control unit to control it - changing direction, turning and steering the boat. You can also use the remote route marking function, which allows you to add points from the quatix 5 device and its automatic synchronization with the connected chartplotter.

Take advantage of the Garmin SailAssist ™ features
Plan your start time, and even visualize the start line. See the virtual start line shown on your watch quatix 5 in the form of 2 points forming the start line of the regatta. Based on the distance from the virtual start line you will be able to determine your distance from it. It will also display a counter informing about the time to start the regatta and the remaining time to start, if the virtual start line is marked. The tacking assistant will determine if the boat is going upwind or wind and will allow you to easily calibrate the tack to left / right.

Navigate on water and on land
The quatix 5 watch is equipped with high sensitivity GPS navigation and tracking functions as well as a basic set of sensors, ie an altimeter, a barometer and a compass. Built-in altimeter provides data on heights and dips allowing accurate tracking of altitude changes, while the barometer helps predict weather changes based on displayed short-term changes in air pressure. The three-axis electronic compass constantly determines your direction and whether you are moving or not. In addition, the built-in gyroscope increases the accuracy of position determination (and battery life) in UltraTrac mode.
